From their 12,000sf home base in Gowanus, Brooklyn, the Serett crew watched patiently as we learned to weld - slowly - dragged giant boats across the parking lot, explored the Gowanus Canal and generally got in the way. Those three boats stacked in the shop are just waiting for the order to come in.

Our giant fish was returned to its home on the Gowanus canal in response to overwhelming pressure from animal rights groups. I was going to eat it. It made it all the way to the unveiling of JERKO the gowanus vacuum, a water purifying houseboat. There was great music and all manner of boat ruckus.

MAKER FAIRE was a blast--we got blue ribbons for BEST IN SHOW at Madagascar Institute's Chariot Race and EDITOR'S CHOICE from Make. Our radial of boats was assembled for the first time and lots of fun was had by all.

SWIMMING CITIES WINS AQUABATTLE

OUR BOAT BELLE TOOK A ROAD TRIP  DOWN TO VIRGINIA FOR AQUABATTLE HOSTED BY THE CUTTHROATS AND THE HELLS SATANS, A BUILD AND BATTLE YOUR HOME MADE BOAT EVENT ON THE JAMES RIVER. 

Its been a long two weeks. With the help of an amazing and dedicated crew we managed to build four boats in two weeks completing our radial formation. the boats took their maiden voyage to govenors island and made a (brief) appearance at the Figment festival.
